MetLab Latam

Visual foresight framework and tools for strategic trend exploration.

MLL Mobile Interface

MetLab LATAM was a foresight and design lab created to investigate the megatrends shaping the future of Latin America through a structured, collaborative, and creative lens.

MLL Explainer Video

In 2024, MetLab served as the research engine behind FuturePanama, developing a comprehensive framework based on the Five Ps: Possible, Plausible, Probable, Preferable, and Pivotal. This structure guided the exploration of 40 trend categories, organized into four core groups—ranging from Panama’s sustainability challenges to global technological shifts and space exploration.

MLL Virtual Gallery

The gallery experience placed users inside a virtual observatory—an elevated, cloud-like space designed to reflect, organize, and connect ideas. From the digital framework to the physical toolkit, MetLab LATAM offered a complete ecosystem for exploring futures with clarity, structure, and imagination.

MLL Framework Folder

Albus Studio worked on the visual and editorial identity of MetLab LATAM, creating a unified system that included web modules, immersive Spatial.io environments, printed folders, and a deck of scenario-building cards. Each element was designed to be both functional and symbolic: the cards offered exercises like Flash Scenario, Creative Link, and Tension Grid, enabling foresight professionals and creative teams to link trends and generate narratives.
