David Vásquez Marthan
Founder & Creative Director

Marthan is a graphic designer trained at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Madrid, and holds a Master’s Degree in Design Methods from the IIT Institute of Design in Chicago.

He began his career as a recipient of the Microsoft e-Ambassador Scholarship Program and gained early professional experience at the renowned studio of Oscar Mariné.He later served as a graphic design tutor in the European Design Labs Master's program, led by Gala Fernández and Raquel Pelta, where students explored design perspectives across Europe through immersive, week-long research trips to major European capitals.

Commissioned by IED Madrid Director Riccardo Marzullo, he co-developed the IED Toolkit alongside José Corrujeira—a creative methodology designed to foster innovation and collaboration. The Toolkit was implemented at the MadridDesignNet event and featured prominently at the World Expo Shanghai, particularly within the Madrid Pavilion, where Marthan conducted workshops for students from Donghua University.

He also co-authored three research papers with Lina Duarte Tovar as part of the Ahead Platform Project, investigating emerging initiatives and their potential to shape the future of design education.

During his time at the IIT Institute of Design in Chicago, Marthan focused on health innovation and communication design. He contributed to the End Obesity campaign led by Professor Larry Keeley, collaborated with Professor Kim Erwin on Equiline, a project aimed at improving personal health tracking tools, and developed the visual identity for Professor Martin Thaler, bridging industrial and visual design.

In 2020, he relocated to Panama City and founded AlbusStudio, a creative practice focused on branding and digital design for private banking firms and investment foundations. He is also a member of the Abundance 360 community, led by Peter Diamandis.. In 2022, he earned a certification from the Art and Technology: From AI to NFTs course offered by the Sotheby's Institute of Art, taught by Professor Gareth Fletcher , with guest contributions from Alex Estorick, Editor-in-Chief at Right Click Save, and Victoria Valenzuela, Managing Editor at SuperRare.

Since then, Marthan has collaborated on a range of future-oriented initiatives involving immersive exhibitions, digital platforms, and strategic storytelling—bridging design, culture, and technology through innovative formats.
